Abstract: [Objective] The aim of the study was to investigate wild woody vine plants in the Lushan mountain.The results obtained here may provide a scientific basis for protection,development and utilization of urban garden plants. [Method] Resources of wild woody vine plants were investigated using China's higher botanical illustration and Jiangxi flora. [Results] There were 122 wild woody vine species in the Lushan mountain and it belonged to 52 genera of 23 families.The wild woody vine plants of Lushan mountain exhibited temperate and tropical features.The majority of them was pantropical,which included 18 genera,accounting for 30.77% of all wild woody vines, followed by the East Asia,including 9 genera,accounting for 17.31% of all wild woody vines. Vitaceae,Rosaceae,Ranunculaceae,Actinidiaceae and Celastraceae were dominant in this area, accounting for 45.08%.Single species was grester (55.77%).The climbing wild vines were divided into 4 types and they were twining (50.00%),curling (21.31%),hooking (15.57%) and adhering (13.12%). [Conclusion] The woody vine plant resources are diverse in species composition,life form and climbing type,etc.It has great development and utilization value in ornamental application,soil and water conservation and ecological restoration.
