Abstract: This paper reports the countable characters, age and reproduction of Paracobitis variegates in Qingyi river. The length and weight range respectively from 6.98 cm to 15.41 cm and from 2.10 g to 21.00 g. Relationship between individuals are weight and length is:W=0.0184L^2.5112, r=0.933. There are 5 age classes, and most in the age of 3 years and 4 years. The length of male fishes range from 6.95 cm to 15.41 cm, correspondingly the length and weight of female ones range respectively from 6.89 cm to 13.68 cm and from 2.10 g to 17.30 g. The mean value of fecundity is 340 per one. At egg diameter of Ⅲ and Ⅳ phase, the radiuses of ovarian ovum are 0.686 mm and 1.052 mm, respectively.
