山区玉米育种用优良自交系苏37(S37)的选育研究

摘要: 本文对山区玉米育种用优良自交系苏37(S37)的选育研究进行了总结。S37是从热带种质中选育的一个自交系,具有热带种质的优良特性,用它与温带、寒带种质的自交系交配,能较多的出现适合山区种植的优良性状互补组合。S37的育成和投产,在我国玉米有种上开辟了利用热带种质的又一途径。

Abstract: The selection of maize inbred line S37 suited to mountain area maize breeding is summarized in this paper. There are some good properties of this kind of germplasm in S37 selected from tropic maize germplasm(Suwan 1), so that it is more possible to select successfully the crosses with complementary characteristics suited to mountain area from the crosses of S37 and inbred lines from temperate and/or frigid germplasm. The success of selection of S37 sets up a new channel to use tropic maize germplasm in China.
