Abstract: The paper introduces some methods for the determination of toxic Arsenic and especially discusses the characteristics, sensitivity, linear range of "Gutzeit" and "Silver Salt Photometry" methods which are now widely used. Consequently, a better method. or "a New Silver Salt Photometry," was recommended. In Arsenic valent state analysis, it mainly introduced "extraction method", "enriched method by sulfhydryl cotton fiber","ionic exchange method" and "hydride generation spectrophotometric method", and their analysis conditions, reageants quantities, medium pH, etc. They are very useful I in practice. The paper also recommends some means about elimination interferences of a few elements in metioned methods.
