罐藏番茄新品种“辐育14”的选育

BREEDING OF A NEW CULTIVAR OF TOMATO FOR CANNING “RADIATION-BRED 14”

摘要: 本文从薯叶早红XRoma VFF5中选得一加工性状优良的新品系"79-3",为改良其中熟但为有限型产量较低的不良性状,以40KR60Co-γ射线外照射其干种子,诱发了无限生长型的突变体。选育至R4与"79-3"进行回交,以改良节间偏长的不良性状,又对回交后代进行系谱选育4代,育成加工和农艺性状均优良的新品种"辐育14"。本品种属无限生长型、中熟,具有座果率高、丰产、综合抗病性较强、果型整齐、果实饱满紧实、色泽好、不裂果、可溶性固形物和番茄红素含量高等特点。为整装和制酱兼用品种,其罐头成品优于对照,已在四川大面积推广,成为八十年代全国生产出口番茄罐头最多的品种之一。

Abstract: A new strain of "79-3" with excellent processing character was obtained from the cross between Potato-Leaf-Early-Red X Roma-VF F5.In order to improve its middle-maturing and the mal-character of determinate type low yield, dry seeds were radiated by 40kr 60Cor.As a result, a nondeterminate mutant was induced.When the breeding reaches the level of R4, backcross was conducted with "79-3" to improve the mal-character of over length between nodes.The progenies of the backcross were bred by F4 linear selection and the resultwas "Radiation-Bred 14", a new breed with excellent characters for both Processing and horticulture. "Radiation-Bred 14" is of non-determinate type and characterized by middle maturity, high percentage of fruit set, high yield, strong general disease-resistance, good uniformity in fruit shape and size, thich and firm flesh, rich fruit colour, strong resistance to fruit cracks, rich soluable solid and lycopene contents. "Radiation-Bred 14" is ideal for both the processing of tomato paste and the processing of wholly-peeled tomatoes.The products have gained advantage over the control cultivars.Now, "Radiation-Bred 14" is being widely cultivated in Sichuan Province and has become one of the top varieties used for producing cans for export in the 1980's.
