种皮对扁竹兰鸢尾(Iris confusa)及其杂种种子萌发的抑制作用

INHIBITORY AFFECTS OF SEED COAT ON SEED GERMINATION IN IRIS CONFUSA AND ITS HYBRID

摘要: 去除种皮与不去种皮的鸢尾种子之间的萌发效果具有显著差异,表现为开始萌发的时间,前者较后者明显提早;萌发百分率,前者显著高于后者,卡平方(χ2)独立性测验达极显著水平。可见,鸢尾种皮对鸢尾种子的萌发具有强烈的抑制作用。实验表明,鸢尾种子的萌发受种皮内源抑制物、种皮透性和种皮机械阻力的共同影响。

Abstract: Inhibitory affects of seed coat on germination of the seeds of Iris confusa and its hybrids were studied. The seed coat free seeds germinate much earlier than normal ones. The percentage of germination of the former is higher than that of the latter, and the χ2 test shows significant differences. So seed coat in Iris confusa and its hybrid obviously inhibit the seed from germinating. The tests also shows that the germination is inhibited by endogenous inhibitor, and mechanical penetrability of seed coat.
